Food & Snack Ideas that Go Great with Coffee

Coffee is a very popular drink. If coffee is one of your favorite beverages and you enjoy pairing your coffee with a snack and you’re looking for some new choices, you’ve come to the right place. Here are a few ideas to help satisfy your hunger with something that pairs well with a cup of coffee.

Chocolate Hazelnut Brownie Bites

Pairing chocolate with coffee is a combination that works very well together. The coffee brings out a more intense flavor in the chocolate making all the notes in the chocolate sing. Pairing chocolate flavored desserts with coffee is a timeless classic that never gets old.

Chia Seed Pudding with Fruit

This is an ideal breakfast if you’re having trouble in the mornings and don’t want anything too heavy. Chia seeds are packed with omega-3s, fiber, and protein. Just mix 1/4 cup of chia seeds with 3.5 ounces of coconut milk (or almond milk), 2 tablespoons of raisins or other dried fruit, and a couple of tablespoons of cocoa powder. Let the container sit overnight in the fridge, then top it off with some berries when you’re ready to eat!

Spinach, Mushroom, and Egg White Scramble

This recipe is one of my favorites because it’s so quick and easy! Just cook the spinach first (add a little garlic if you want), then add the egg whites. Once the spinach is wilted, add the mushrooms!

This is an easy breakfast that you can prepare the night before. All you need to do in the morning is add some cinnamon and brown sugar! If your interested in trying making oatmeal in an unusual way, try making oatmeal with apple sauce instead of water.

Buttermilk Biscuit

This light and fluffy breakfast dish paired with coffee are one of my favorite ways to start your day. Buttery flaky biscuits go well with sweetened coffee since the biscuits are savory and the coffee is sweet. A perfect pairing.

Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Buttermilk Waffles

They go well with coffee, especially cold coffee. They taste delicious and have a nice crispy texture. Here’s a list of ingredients to create chocolate-covered strawberry buttermilk waffles: butter, flour, baking powder and baking soda, buttermilk, strawberries (both fresh or frozen), sugar, vanilla extract, and dark chocolate chips.

Vegan Chocolate Crepes

The secret to this delicious meal is combining thin slices of banana with the batter before cooking it. A drizzle of pure maple syrup makes these sweet treats extra decadent, but feel free to indulge in your favorite topping! Coffee works well with crepes because crepes are a delicate dessert and coffee has a bold flavor that pairs well with the delicate crepe flavors.

It is delicious but works so much better when eaten along with coffee. Any flavor of cake paired with black coffee is a good combination because the bitterness of the coffee is also a way to counteract the sweetness of the cake and reset your palette after each bite.
